I'm a defender of the right of free speech and I am against arbitration being forced upon employees by big corporations. But what's the connection? -

It's complicated. But let's hypothesize that there is a criminal conspiracy...next, let's hypothesize that there is evidence of that criminal conspiracy based on statements made by GOP politicians while speaking on the floor of the US Congress about some legislation...the Speech and Debate Clause of the US Constitution prevents Congressional Elected Representatives from being held or question for statements they make while debating Congressional business on the floor of the House or Senate...so, a problem then arises...or not, depending on whether it bothers you...or not.
